Gifted Writ That Hits, Then Sticks
Companies like yours have a unique look and feel. Your brand's messaging should be distinct, too.
Let me take a stab at this. You're looking for a writer who will make you and your whole team proud. Someone who's not only friendly but also curious and willing to learn. A scribe who can take all their years of experience and make it work for you, not against you.
I'm not set in my ways. I take feedback "with excitement and in stride," according to the CCO at Morgan & Morgan. I've been called "an absolute creative wunderkind," but I can't take credit for any of my artistic gifts. I was just born that way.
I don't write blind, so you'll never get careless copy from me. Sure, I understand you need deliverables fast, but I'm a researcher, a learner, and a bit of a curiosity addict. I like to observe what's working and not working and optimize based on those insights. Particularly, it's so important in social media to take an inquisitive approach. There's a reason one piece of content works and another doesn't. But don't worry. I'm not here to judge. We'll figure it out together.
I'm a proactive coworker who builds content behind the scenes without being asked. I own the work I'm assigned to, and I follow instructions to a T when you have them. If you're worried about getting a lazy, sleepy writer, that's just not me. I deliver on time. And lightning-quick if needed. You know, I don't think I've ever missed a deadline. Do you kind of secretly enjoy when it's all hands on deck and you need content yesterday? Yeah, I like urgency too.
If you're looking for a writer who can get up to speed quickly on your industry, product, and brand voice, I'm an option for you. I've been told I'm unparalleled in embodying the brands I represent. I've also been told I have an infectious positivity. I guess I just live for tackling tough marketing problems. Dang. That's true.
If it's versatility you're after, I enjoy crafting long-form content, but I especially love short, punchy lines engineered to resonate instantly. In my dream world, long-form content is just a succession of quippy, quotable text painstakingly revised to the point of diamond-like finesse. But that's my dream world.
Speaking to my approach, I'm a persistent individual who takes notes from the greats and applies sound fundamentals to every piece. And I'm always learning new ways to write more effectively. Generally, the customer always wants to soothe some kind of pain — from life-altering problems to simple boredom — and copy is a conduit that leads people to better lives no matter how big or small the pursuit.
